Established almost 42 years ago on 4th of January 1972 Bangladesh Airlines took its first flight on 4th February 1972. The airline is the official flag carrier of Bangladesh ever since it got the status of an independent country.
The airline is completely owned by Government of Bangladesh and has its operations spread across 29 destinations, which include both international and domestic fronts.

With a fleet size of 10 aircrafts the airlines has its presence mostly in the cities in Middle East. Middle East has been the major revenue contributor for Bangladesh Airlines.
Just to name a few gulf cities connected by the airlines- Dammam, Riyadh, Dubai, Ras-Al-Khaimah, Muscat, Medina, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi.
The airline has expansion plans for near future and these would add up the number of cities to the existing network. This would definitely give a push not only to the profits of the airlines but would also support the economy of the country.
